Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Have you heard of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)? Tonight I went to see a presentation by Will Wood at the NLP and Coaching Institute in Salt Lake City. He is a Certified Hypnotist and NLP practitioner. It was truly amazing. I walked away reminded once again that our minds are powerful and we can overcome fear, pain, phobias, and all kinds of things instantly if we use some fairly easy techniques.

He demonstrated some of these techniques and helped volunteers from the audience get over things like a fear of spiders, fear of the dentist, fear of crowded elevators (that one was me), and anger. Wow! Not only were the techniques quick, they were pretty easy to learn. My husband Steve has used Neuro Linguistic Programming in the past couple of years to wipe out his fear of snakes, and help my son overcome fear of swimming. Once he helped me overcome something I was mad about and honestly I don’t even remember what it was! And I was really mad, so you’d think I would remember it!
