Wheelchair Service

WheelchairTwo of my friends convinced me to use the airport wheelchair service for my trip to Charlotte, North Carolina a few days ago. I thank them for that. I was uncomfortable  expecting someone to push me around the airport, but in the end it was the best thing for me. I got pretty dizzy walking in the airport, and reading signs was a challenge. Since I used the wheelchair service, by the time I landed, I wasn’t fatigued like I thought I would be. I also had pre-boarding status so I didn’t have to wait in long lines and worrying about tripping over anyone. I must admit that other pre-borders and wheelchair users seemed more disabled than me, but I shouldn’t have made it a contest. The bottom line is that I’m glad I did it, I have gratitude to the many people who helped me, and I hope that the next time I travel I won’t need special accommodations.

  1. Glenda,
I am glad you listened to your friends! We have a mutual friend (from PiHi) who argued with me about not using a wheelchair at the airport on the way to AZ, but I finally convinced her to save her strength for the fun trip and not use her eneregy on the airport walk; she agreed in the end and was also grateful for the wheelchair. We can all use a little assistance once in a while; I am so grateful for the angels watching over you! Love, Jeanne in CA

  2. I am so glad that you supported yourself as you would have supported one of your dear friends and family. Great modeling of self care. And, by the way, you look fabulous here.

  3. Glenda……I only use wheel chair assist now as I cannot walk long lines. The nice thing is that you get to where you want to go easily. They assign an agent to wheel you around…you get thru security in a few minutes and you get to pre board. Easy! No extra cost. I would use it all the time if your eyes are still having a challenge focusing…it is also safer and much less stress!!

  4. I am so proud of you Glenda. Asking for help sometimes is not easy (I’m pretty sure Jeanne is talking about stubborn old me in her post! lol.) I’m glad using the wheelchair service paid off & kept you safe in your travels. Way to go! P.S. I love all my amazing friends!

  5. A motivating discussion is worth comment. I think that you ought to write
more about this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but typically people
do not speak about these topics. To the next! Kind regards!!

  6. I don’t even know how I ended up right here, however I thought this submit was great.
I do not recognise who you might be but certainly you are going to a well-known blogger if you aren’t already.

    Cheers!
